Jennifer Aniston was spotted with ‘oil’ doused over her, but all wasn’t as it seemed
Jennifer Aniston has spoken out after images of her having ‘oil’ brutally thrown over her went viral.
The Friends actor had been filming a new season of the hit Apple TV+ show The Morning Show when she was spotted with fake oil splattered all over her, leaving onlookers understandably confused.
Of course the precise context of the incident within the show remains a mystery, but it seems fair to assume Aniston’s character will be at the heart of some public controversy.
Pictures show Aniston absolutely soaked by the black liquid, which heavily stained her white top and pale trousers.
Now Aniston has put out a cheeky acknowledgement of the incident while filming for the show’s upcoming fourth season.

In a post to her Instagram page the star was pictured reclining in one of those wooden folding chairs for set.
She had one of her feet up and showed off the enormous black stain that had covered her left side, with the streaks going all the way from her shoulder to her ankle.
The star also posted a number of images of herself and her cast mates on the set of the upcoming drama.
She captioned the post simply: “I ❤️ NY.”
When the footage emerged it was so convincing that many people thought Aniston had actually been targeted by protestors while out and about in New York City.
Some even asked who it was that had allegedly thrown the ‘oil’, with one posting to Twitter: “The people protesting big oil threw oil on Jennifer Aniston and she looks confused and horrified. Why do you think they targeted her?”

Meanwhile a second wrote: “By whom and what was their motive?”
But other users of the platform were quick to come and clarify exactly what was going on, and that this was not a real protest but one for the show.
If you listen to the full clip you can even hear someone saying ‘cut’.
One person wrote: “That’s from the show my dude. In a longer version of the video you can hear ‘cut’ at the end and everyone breaks.”
The Morning Show follows a fictional breakfast news show and the various conflicts and controversies that come along with it.
Apple TV+ has not yet confirmed the release date for the show’s fourth season, but it’s expected to be available to stream at some point next year.
