Jake Paul believes he can do better than Team USA’s Paris 2024 athletes
While Team USA have so far achieved over 100 medals at this year’s Olympics, Jake Paul believes he can contribute further to the country’s success.
Paris 2024 is set to conclude today (August 11), with the next Games already scheduled to take place in Los Angeles, US, in 2028.
With Paris’ hosting duties ending today, there will be a handover ceremony that will be hosted by tennis pro Venus Williams and will see the likes of Billie Eilish, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Snoop Dogg perform.

It’s unclear if and how much money the performer’s will be paid, but rapper Snoop has already made a pretty penny at this year’s Olympics while working for NBC as a special correspondent.
As the excitement builds for LA 2028, questions have already being raised about who will be competition in it – and Jake Paul insists he’ll be one of them.
The YouTuber has turned his attention to boxing in recent years and made his fighting debut in August 2018, when he faced British YouTuber Deji Olatunji in an amateur fight.
Fast forward to 2024 and Paul is set to face boxing legend Mike Tyson for a Netflix special that will take place in November.
While he’s yet to face Tyson, the ever-confident Paul is already setting his sights on LA 2028.
Speaking to Betr, the 27-year-old said: “I’m going to enter the 2028 Olympics for boxing in Los Angeles. I’m sick and tired of waiting around and waiting for a gold for Team USA.”

The US have only managed to achieve one medal in the boxing at Paris 2024, which was won by Omari Jones who took part in the men’s welterweight.
Paul went on to be asked this means that he’s not retiring. He replied: “Not retiring. Like, I probably definitely just added another couple of years onto my boxing career because of that.”
People have since reacted to Paul’s comments, and the idea of him competing in the Olympics hasn’t gone done very well with some.
“This guy can’t commit and follow through with anything within one year much less four years,” one person said as they labelled the YouTuber as ‘a freaking joke’.
“He doesn’t even sound like he believes what he said,” wrote a second.
Meanwhile, another person suggestion that Paul’s sentiments were just ‘another publicity stunt from a guy who’s more entertainer than athlete’.

Others are seemingly in favor for Paul’s plans, however.
UFC legend Chael Sonnen shared a clip of the Paul voicing his Olympic dreams and wrote: “I will do anything i can to support this idea and help to make it happen.”
Someone else wrote: “If Jake Paul actually competes in 2028 Olympics I’ll deffo get behind him, you can’t even not respect the grind at this stage, his love for the sport of boxing has actually gained my respect, f**k who his fought, his still new to the game and still has huge names on his record.”
Meanwhile someone else noted that by LA 2028 Paul will have been boxing for a decade, making his Olympic ambitions ‘not as ridiculous as it sounds’.
