Man’s slow and brutal torture method was ‘cruelest death in history’

György Dózsa’s executioners certainly weren’t playing

People are saying only a ‘true maniac’ could have devised this absolutely awful death, which befell a Hungarian rebel in the 16th century.

It’s been described as the ‘cruelest death’ in history.

While there are several horrific incidents which claim the title, this one might really be the worst.

György Dózsa was a Hungarian man born in 1470 and proved to be a real annoyance to the rulers of the Kingdom of Hungary.

Most notably, Dozsa lead a peasant revolt against the kingdom’s nobility during the reign of King Vladislaus II of Hungary.

He was eventually captured and tortured and it seems those in power wanted to make a clear and severe example of him.
