Simone Biles’ biological mother has issued a plea to her daughter
Simone Biles’ estranged birth mother has spoken out as she reveals she ‘would like to make amends with Simone personally’.
Simone well and truly bossed it at the Paris 2024 Olympics having bagged four medals at the games.
The Team USA star is now the most decorated athlete of all time due to winning 11 Olympic medals over the course of her career.
While she may be thriving now, the 27-year-old had an extremely difficult upbringing.
Simone was given up by her biological mother when she was a toddler and was in and out of foster care for a number of years.

Along with her younger sister Adria, Simone was adopted by her maternal grandfather Ronald Biles when she was six.
The pair were brought up in Texas by their grandad alongside his wife Nellie Biles.
Now, Simone’s biological mom has been speaking to the DailyMail following Simone’s success at the Olympics.
While she has pleaded for the Olympian to get in touch, Shanon has also explained why she gave her up in the first place.
“It was hard to give up my kids, but I had to do what I had to do. I wasn’t able to care for them. I was still using [drugs] and [my father] didn’t want me coming in and out of their lives when I wasn’t right,” she told the paper.
Shanon went on to say she has played no part in Simone’s life, missing events such as the Olympian’s wedding to NFL player Jonathan Owens last year.

She continued: “I would like to make amends with Simone personally – I’m just waiting for her and Adria. I speak to Adria more than I speak to Simone.
“I would just ask her to forgive me. Can we move forward? Don’t judge me on my past. Let’s move forward.
“I’m waiting for the opportunity but I’m waiting on her to be able to come to me. Let’s sit down. I just have to be patient.”
While Shanon may have mobile phone number for the Olympian, the mother has insisted she ‘won’t use it’.
“I want her to reach out to me,” she said. “She’s 27 now. She’s married. I would have liked to have been a part of that, but I just have to wait for her. You can’t push anybody.
“It hasn’t happened yet, but I have patience. I’m waiting on her.”
