Hawk Tuah girl Haliey Welch rose to fame earlier this year
Haliey Welch, better known as Hawk Tuah girl, claims she turned down a well-known rapper after he asked her out on a date.
The influencer was propelled into somewhat unexpected fame earlier this year after she was asked in an interview to name a move that makes men ‘go crazy’.
Welch said: “You gotta give ’em that ‘hawk tuah’ and spit on that thang. You get me?”
‘That thang’ refers to a leather boot which you spit on in order to polish it properly, driving many folks ‘crazy’ with how well-shined it is.
Ever since that moment, Hawk Tuah girl has not left the spotlight, and she’s met many celebrities along the way.

Speaking in a recent interview with TMZ, Welch opened up on her love life.
She claimed rapper Yung Gravy slid into her DMs and asked her out on a date.
“He wants to take me out on a date. I was like, ‘Nah I don’t know about that,'” she told the outlet.
Many fans have flocked to Twitter following the declaration.
“Getting curved by the ‘hawk Tua girl’ is so embarrassing omg,” one person wrote.
“Wow, a date offer from Yung Gravy via DM—such a groundbreaking moment! Who knew that sliding into DMs could be so revolutionary?” a second sarcastically added.
While a third remarked: “Lol that’s wild.”

Last month, Welch unexpectly ended up speaking to her celebrity crush in an interview on Whitney Cummings’ weekly podcast Good For You.
Things kicked off with Welch saying that her celebrity crush is comedian Matt Rife, and Cummings so happens to be a pal of Rife.
They ultimately FaceTimed so Welch could meet her celebrity crush.
It led to Rife inviting Welch to one of his shows in Nashville.
“I’m in Nashville August 24th doing Bridgestone Arena, do you want to come out?” he said.
Perhaps expectedly, Welch accepted the invitation.
In other brushes with celebrity, Haliey has performed on stage with country music star Zach Bryan, and she was also invited to throw the first pitch at a New York Mets game.
However, fans weren’t particularly impressed with the decision.
One wrote: “All the kids at the baseball game asking their parents and friends what did this girl do to get to throw out the first pitch? Do better MLB!!! This is not a role model!”
Haliey has since explained she was at the game to raise awareness for non-profit America’s VetDogs, which provides injured veterans with skilled guide dogs.
