She is thought to have reached out privately to the victims’ families as well
Taylor Swift has met with survivors of the Southport stabbing, inviting them and their families backstage before one of her Wembley shows.
The pop superstar met two of the girls who were injured during the attack as they attended one of her performances in London.
The singer has performed five shows in the capital to finish off the European leg of her Eras Tour.
These were the first shows she had done since three young girls were killed in a knife attack in Southport as they attended a Taylor Swift-themed dance and yoga workshop.
Before one of her London shows, Swift met with two of the survivors of the attack, Hope and Autumn.
On Sunday, their mother, Sami Foster, posted a series of photos on TikTok of her daughters with Swift backstage. Along with posing for pictures with the Love Story singer, the youngsters also had their picture taken with Swift’s mother, Andrea.
In the caption of the post, Foster quoted Swift’s song Cardigan, writing: “You drew stars around my scars.”
She continued: “The biggest thank you to @Taylor Swift and her mum for making the most magical night possible for us all. Thank you for bringing Hope & Autumn pure happiness last night & always.”
Variety reports that Swift has met with other victims and their families during her run of London shows, but has not publicised or posted anything about the meetings herself.
Whilst she hasn’t addressed the attack during her performances, it is thought that she has reached out privately to the families of the victims.
Swift also released a statement on social media paying tribute to the victims the day after the horrific attack.
Bebe King, six, Elsie Dot Stancombe, seven, and Alice da Silva Aguiar, nine, died in the attack on the holiday club in the Merseyside town on July 29.
Eight other children and two adults were injured in the stabbing, with 25 children believed to have been in the class at the time of the attack.
Axel Rudakubana, 18, was arrested in relation to the attack and has since been charged with three counts of murder and 10 counts of attempted murder over the incident.
