He turns 44 tomorrow
Every now and then you might pause to wonder what happened to the icons of your childhood.
It’s fun to wonder ‘where are they now’ as it often turns up some interesting titbits of information, and sometimes famous faces of your younger days have gone from being on everyone’s TV to living a relatively normal life.
There are occasionally disappointing outcomes, I myself was terribly disheartened when I learned that my childhood icon Postman Pat had seemingly sold out, betraying his humble Greendale roots and taking a job that came with a motorbike and helicopter.
Really, you’d hope they’re leading grounded, happy lives where they can look back fondly on the times you most enjoyed them.
One of the biggest stars of your younger days was likely Home Alone lead Macaulay Culkin, who just last year was honoured with his own star on the Hollywood walk of fame.

Since becoming famous at a young age, he’s starred in a number of movies, TV series, been the lead singer in a comedy rock band and started his own podcast.
Just a few years ago he had a major role in season 10 of American Horror Story, and earlier this year he lent his voice to animated show The Second Best Hospital In The Galaxy alongside his brothers Kieran, Christian, Rory and Shane.
Elsewhere in his personal life, fans who grew up at a certain time have taken much joy from the fact that Culkin is in a relationship with Brenda Song.
Most people will remember her as London Tipton from The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, and a couple of years ago they confirmed their engagement.
The pair have two sons together, one born in April 2021 and another joining the family in December 2022.
People do seem to like how happy they are together, saying they’re ‘such a great pair up’ and declaring ‘YAY THEM’.

It’s Culkin’s 44th birthday tomorrow (26 August) and to just turn the clock back to 2020 when he was turning 40, Song wrote him a heartfelt tribute.
She said: “I could sit here and write endlessly about how wonderful, kind, loving, genuine, loyal, honest, brilliant and hilarious you are, and how grateful I am that I get to share and do this life thing with you.
“But firstly, that would take me an eternity and secondly, you won’t even see this because you don’t ever use Instagram. Hahaha.
“My unicorn that I never thought could exist, I am the luckiest person in the world because I am loved by you.”
When Culkin got his star on the Hollywood walk of fame, he said she was ‘the best person I’ve ever known’ and ‘given me all my purpose’.
Where are they now? The answer seems to be happy together.
