Sahar Tabar shot to fame for her drastic looks online, but not all was as it seemed
Anyone who has been on the internet over the past few years will remember the ‘Zombie’ Angelina Jolie lookalike from Instagram.
The Iranian content creator stunned viewers who saw her pictures back in 2017 and were convinced she’d had drastic plastic surgery to accomplish her look.
But it turned out it was all a trick using makeup and photo manipulation.
Anyway, her popularity soared, and people wanted to know who this woman was.
Who is Sahar Tabar, aka the ‘zombie Angelina Jolie’?
Sahar Tabar (real name Fatemeh Khishvand) is a former content creator who is believed to be 23 years old.
Of course, she exploded in popularity online with her unique and extreme appearance, having previously claimed to have gone under the knife a whopping 50 times – which she later admitted to being untrue.
Despite her viral fame, she’s actually pretty normal looking in real life.

Why did Sahar Tabar create her viral look?
Local media quoted her as saying: “What you saw on Instagram was the computer effects I used to create the image.”
The influencer appeared to explain that she wanted her five minutes of fame through Instagram after she had ‘wanted to be famous since I was a child’.
“Cyberspace was an easy way. It was much easier than becoming an actor,” she was quoted as saying.

Why did Sahar Tabar go to jail?
Although she was able to completely change the way she looked online, it didn’t stop the police from being able to find her.
That’s right, Tabar was arrested in October 2019 for ‘corruption’ and ‘blasphemy’.
Initially being given a 10-year sentence, the public’s displeasure actually allowed her to be released from prison after 14 months, as reported by activist Masih Alinejad.

However, her release had seemingly changed her mind about being a star.
Following her legal proceedings, she appeared to state that she never wanted to open the photo-sharing site ever again.
“I’m sure I will not even put Instagram on my phone anymore, let alone have a page,” she said.
She later appeared on a TV interview after being released from prison and confirmed that her skills are a trick of the eye instead of the result of surgery.
