He was last seen sprinting through an airport before disappearing
In 2014, Lars Mittank was spotted sprinting through an airport without any belongings. He was never seen again.
Chilling airport security footage shows the last known sighting of Lars before his disappearance, which became infamous after the video viewed more than 16 million times on YouTube.
28-year-old Lars, from Itzehoe, Germany, was on holiday with some friends in Bulgaria when he got involved in a fight with a group of lads.
The Werder Bremen fan had became separated from his mates and ended up in a pretty heated situation with some Bayern Munich supporters.
Lars was punched in the head by one of the lads, suffering a perforated ear drum.
As a result, he was unable to fly home and instead checked into a hotel near Varna Airport.

When his pals him left to return home to Germany, they said Lars seemed pretty happy. But things soon took a worrying turn.
In a frantic phone call, Lars told his mum to cancel his bank card and that he thought he was being followed by a group out to kill him.
Recalling the conversation, Sandra Mittank later said: “I thought, god, my son is in danger. I could hear his heart pounding over the phone.
“He said people were trying to rob him or kill him.”
In order to fly back, Lars needed the all-clear from a doctor.
Dr Kosta Kostov said that the young man was not in a good way when he came for his appointment, later describing him as being ‘nervous and erratic’.
The medic said that Lars was trembling, and told him: “I don’t want to die here. I have to get out of here.”

The last images of Lars were captured by CCTV cameras at Varna Airport in Bulgaria.
In the video footage, he can be seen walking through the airport’s terminal, wearing a yellow t-shirt, shorts, and carrying a large rucksack.
Lars then heads towards the toilet before appearing again, this time with no luggage and sprinting towards the exit.
Cameras outside see him leave the airport and head down the road, where he leaps over a fence and runs off into some woodland.
He has never been since.
To this day, it remains unclear what led Lars to run away, although some think he may have been suffering from a rare side effect of the medication he’d been prescribed for his ruptured ear drum.
It is also unknown what happened to the man after he ran into the woods. There have been multiple reported sightings over the past 10 years, but none have been confirmed.
