People ‘demand an explanation’ after man jumped into water then ‘completely vanished’

This might unlock a whole new fear

People are ‘demanding an explanation’ after watching a man who jumped into a small pool of water completely vanish.

It’s not hard to fall into the doomscrolling on social media of watching mad videos and end up completely freaked out.

And one viral clip on X shows a bloke stepping off a low rock face to jump straight down into what looks like a little circular pool of water.

You know, like the kind of thing you’d go and do on a little day excursion on holiday or what all those people travelling to ‘find themselves’ plaster over Instagram every day.

Except this video will unlock a whole new fear if you’d ever considered flying out somewhere to jump off rocks.

During the clip, the man plunges into the water and after a second or so, you can feel the worry grow that he is not going to simply pop back up.

The blue hole of water seems to bubble away as those stood around start scouring and panicking from the edge as they cautiously try to look for him.

Doing the rounds on social media, there doesn’t appear to be a resolution as to whether the man ever did resurface.

And users have worriedly commented calling for an explanation as to what happened to him.

As many ask ‘where did he go?’, some suggested he ‘may not be ok’ as one wrote: “And if it’s a cave system under it, the water could have drawn him down under. I hope he’s alright, thought.”

But many viewers have suggested the theory of whirlpools or aerated water.

Some suggested that this little pool homed a whirlpool, as one added: “Most whirlpools aren’t cause for concern. However, those that are very large or powerful can pose a serious threat to anyone who comes too close.”

While another suggested: “I couldn’t find anything else about this video, but looking at all those bubbles being freed up when he jumped in might indicate a naturally ‘aerated’ pool of water.

“If so, he wouldn’t be able to swim back up since the water’s density is far too low.”

Basically, the air bubbles decrease its buoyancy, making it extremely difficult and tiring to try and tread or swim in the water.

But there’s some degree of hope as one user quite optimistically said: “Water like this usually has another open end close by… he probably swam to that end.”
