The friends of Miss Switzerland finalist Kristina Joksimovic warned her that she ‘needed to be careful’ before her husband allegedly killed her and ‘pureed her in a blender’.

Her husband, named locally as Thomas, currently sits on trial in Switzerland accused of the murder of the 38-year-old, whose decapitated head and dismembered body were discovered by her father back in February.

It was the evening before Valentine’s Day (February 13), when the mother-of-two was discovered dead.

A forensic report revealed that she was strangled before being ‘chopped up with a hand blender, pureed and dissolved in a chemical’.

Since then, an investigation has been launched by Swiss police into her death, with the 41-year-old husband being the main suspect. He remains in jail following his arrest after his appeal to the Swiss Federal Court was turned down by judges.

Local outlet BZ Basel reports that the court’s ruling claimed the accused admitted to killing his wife back in March during a crime reconstruction.

Just 17 years ago, in 2007, Kristina had the world at her fingertips after being crowned Miss Northwest Switzerland in a pageant and went on to become a finalist for Miss Switzerland.

It kickstarted a career in fashion, with her launching her own business as a catwalk coach, and later mentored compatriot and fellow model Dominique Rinderknecht for the Miss Universe pageant six years later.

Now, one of Kristina’s friends has spoken out anonymously to the MailOnline claiming that she warned her friend of her ‘ticking time bomb’ of a husband.

She said: “Kristina was married to a killer and had no idea. She left that psychopath home alone with the children. He was really derogatory with her, with gestures, words and even his tone… he wanted Kristina to disappear.”

She added: “If he can do something like this to Kristina, who he loved and is the mother of his own two children out of a hatred for her and an inferiority complex, then what will he do to those of us who told the police about their relationship.”

Court documents released have revealed that officers were called to their home in Binningen, a municipality just to the south of Basel, to the north of Switzerland, by the French and German borders, on July 14 last year.

On arrival, police discovered that there were strangulation marks showing on Kristina’s neck, with pictures to prove them.

Before her death, Kristina had decided that she wanted to divorce her husband – with her friend warning her that she ‘needed to be careful’, as his ‘family is quite influential’.
