Usher and Sean Combs lived with each other in New York in the 1990s
Fans have been left suspicious after Usher claimed his Twitter account had been ‘hacked’ following the arrest of his former pal Diddy – with several of his old tweets being deleted.
The rapper, whose real name is Sean Combs, was arrested at the Park Hyatt hotel in Manhattan, New York on September 16.
Combs was charged with racketeering and sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion – allegations he has denied.
Following Diddy’s arrest, his lawyer Marc Agnifilo said: “We are disappointed with the decision to pursue what we believe is an unjust prosecution of Mr. Combs by the US Attorney’s Office.
“Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is a music icon, self-made entrepreneur, loving family man, and proven philanthropist who has spent the last 30 years building an empire, adoring his children, and working to uplift the Black community.
“He is an imperfect person but is not criminal.”

Diddy has since been denied bail for the second time after his attorney proposed a $50 million bond in exchange for his release to home detention with GPS monitoring.
That was ultimately turned down on Tuesday (17 September).
On Sunday (22 September), tweets from Usher, who has previously had a close relationship with Diddy, were deleted.
Everything from his media, posts and replies were deleted from the social media app, with just a few highlights remaining.
But two of those seemed to be of cryptocurrency scams seemingly posted by a hacker.
Usher seemed to get access once more to his Twitter account, as he penned: “Account got hacked and damn y’all ran with it! See you tonight at Intuit Dome.”

And while Usher may be in the middle of his Past, Present, Future tour, fans are suspicious regarding what is going on with his social media presence.
“So crazy how it got hacked…but instead of posting crazy stuff, the hacker just DELETED your posts and Diddy just got arrested. Soooooo weird we all ‘ran with it’. Right bro,” one person commented.
“Not suspicious at all,” a second sarcastically added, while a third had a differing opinion, saying: “Why would tweets that were made public but now deleted be evidence of anything. I don’t get it?”
Diddy and Usher lived together in New York when the latter was 13 in the 1990s.
He previously told Howard Stern: “I went there to see the lifestyle. There were very curious things taking place and I didn’t necessarily understand it.”
Usher and Ne-Yo were named as witnesses to Diddy’s physical abuse of singer Casandra Ventura in a lawsuit.
UNILAD has reached out to Usher’s representatives for comment.
