Rosie O’Donnell reveals she was invited to one of Diddy’s parties, but was turned away at the door

Rosie O’Donnell has shared that she was once invited to one of Diddy’s famous parties but claims she was turned away.

Sean “Diddy” Combs, formerly known as P. Diddy, was arrested on September 16 in New York City.

The 54-year-old has been charged with three counts – racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion, and transportation to engage in prostitution.

A 14-page unsealed indictment disclosed that Combs induced female victims and male sex workers to participate in drug-fuelled “elaborate and produced sex performances” which were called “Freak Offs,” per BBC.

These acts were allegedly recorded and directed by Combs, and would sometimes last days. The indictment also claims that Combs and the alleged victims “typically received IV fluids to recover from the physical exertion and drug use,” per a report by Metro.

The Bad Boys Records founder was known for throwing his annual white parties attended by many famous faces in Hollywood.

In light of the allegations against him, O’Donnell took to TikTok to reflect on her first and only alleged encounter with Combs in a nearly 10-minute video.

She told her followers that she used to live next door to Combs in Miami and was even invited to one of his star-studded parties, where she says everybody was “wearing white”. However, when the 62-year-old former talk show host and her kids showed up in “sweatpants,” they were turned away at the door.

O’Donnell recalled: “They didn’t let us in. The doormen were, like, looking at us. I’m like, ‘No, no. He invited me yesterday. I live right there. My daughter saw him on the street and we talked.’ No, we couldn’t come in.”

She said that Combs reached out to her the following day and apologized with an offer that was “so unbelievably over the top and extraordinary,” sharing: “He felt so bad that he rented out the Regal Cinema for me and my family to see any movie we wanted the entire day – in any theatre whenever we wanted.”

Despite never speaking to the music star again, the TV producer said the difference between his thoughtful gesture and his alleged crimes caught her off guard.

“I’m just kind of in shock,” she continued. “And I know there is perhaps a naïveté to me in some way but how could a person live knowing that they had done that and then be a public person and continue to do it?

“Didn’t he feel the footsteps of the law behind him at all times? Or do you just get to be so big like Harvey Weinstein did that he thought, ‘Well I control Hollywood. I control the Oscars. I can sleep with any actress I want whether they want to or not,’” she added.

The Daytime Emmy Award winner questioned how the ‘I’ll Be Missing You’ rapper didn’t “consider [himself] a rapist” despite allegedly “participating in or filming or watching the rape,” as per his shocking 14-page indictment.

“It’s very disturbing. And then you start to think, how many people really knew about it?” she said, before reflecting on how before the #MeToo movement, she would’ve never believed that disgraced filmmaker Harvey Weinstein was also a “rapist”.

“I would have said, ‘No! He runs Miramax. You think he could also be a rapist? What is he? Clark Kent? He gets in a cape and he is someone different,’” she said about Weinstein. “‘Like give me a break too many people know him. Too many people would be involved. Too many people would have to participate in that in order for it to be true!’”

The comic also expressed her shock over the news of more than 1,000 bottles of baby oil and lubricant being allegedly recovered from her former neighbor’s residence after a police raid.

“Sex trafficking? That’s serious, man. And then they found 1,000 bottles of baby oil,” she said. “I’m gonna be thinking about that the rest of my life…It’s very unnerving and very disturbing.”
