Influencer shares aftermath of £150k McLaren crash after he was on phone then filmed bloody passenger

The car took the brunt of the impact

An influencer who crashed his expensive supercar while on his phone and a live-stream has shared the aftermath on social media.

YouTuber and streamer Jack Doherty went viral after he crashed his McLaren into the railing of a busy highway in Miami, Florida.

He was live streaming his driving on Kick,a platform which has since banned him, at the time he crashed his car.

The streaming platform said: “Kick does not condone illegal activity, which is why we swiftly took action and moved to ban this creator from the platform.”

While he and his passenger Michael, who was sitting in a passenger seat, were not seriously injured, they were checked over by the emergency services and went to hospital afterwards.

The Florida Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FLHSMV) is investigating the crash which left the car badly damaged but fortunately did not result in the driver or passenger being too badly hurt.

Michael the cameraman, who was sitting in the passenger’s seat, appeared to be bleeding from his face after the crash and required stitches, while Doherty was still broadcasting live saying: “Oh my god bro, my whole f**king car bro!”

Footage of the incident showed Doherty handing his phone to his bloodied friend so he could continue to be filmed.

Posting on social media after the crash, Doherty put up footage showing him sitting shirtless on the barrier he’d crashed into by the site of the road.

Other clips had him inspecting the damage done to his car, and looking at how the front end is rather comprehensively crumpled it’s probably not in the sort of condition to be driving again.

He had also shared videos of himself and Michael in the hospital afterwards while the cameraman was getting his stitches.

The content creator has been heavily criticised by some for using his phone while driving, with people commenting that he was ‘such a clown’ and needed to ‘be safe out there’.

Some have even called for him to serve ‘jail time’ for being on his phone while driving his car.

Others have claimed that the crash was ‘staged’ and wrote about their suspicions since he ‘managed to film every single moment of the crash’ and provided a content creator with a lot of content.

More footage of the crash had Doherty shouting for help inside the car and trying to break the windows, before handing his phone to someone trying to help him out asking them ‘can you hold this’ while they carried him out.

LADbible has contacted the FLHSMV for comment.
