Yung Filly was arrested in Brisbane and extradited to Perth
A popular YouTuber from the UK known as Yung Filly, real name Andrés Felipe Valencia Barrientos, has been arrested in Australia following accusations that he raped and assaulted a woman.
The YouTuber, 29, was taken into custody in the Australian city of Brisbane on Tuesday (8 October) and was yesterday (9 October) extradited to city of Perth in the west of the country.
9 News reports that he has been charged with four counts of sexual penetration without consent, three counts of assault occasioning bodily harm and one count of impeding a person’s normal breathing or circulation by applying pressure on or to the neck.
Barrientos appeared before Perth Magistrates Court, with ABC Australia reporting that police opposed him being released from custody before magistrate Tanya Watt granted him bail.
He is banned from attempting to contact his victim or make posts on his social media channels about the case.

He must also remain in Western Australia, report in with the police on a daily basis and put up a cash surety of $100,000AUS (£51,000).
Police allege that the YouTuber sexually assaulted a woman in her 20s in his hotel room after a show at nightclub in Hillarys, Perth on 28 September.
Yung Filly has a large following online, with several million followers on the likes of YouTube and Instagram.
He’s worked with groups like Beta Squad and The Sidemen, and has also made several appearances on TV in the UK.
He’s presented BBC Three shows Hot Property and Don’t Scream, as well as making appearances on Would I Lie To You, The Great Celebrity Bake Off for SU2C, Race Around Britain and appeared on Soccer Aid in 2020.

WA police prosecutor Julius Depetro alleges that there is an ‘extremely strong’ case against the YouTube star, claiming to have CCTV and photo evidence to back up the charges.
He also claimed that Yung Filly could be a flight risk as he had ‘no links to’ Western Australia.
ABC Australia also reports that the prosecutor provided photos to the judge which were not shown to the court and said that ‘no ordinary person can consent in those circumstances’.
However, legal representatives for the YouTuber argued that he deserved the right to bail and questioned the strength of the prosecution’s case.
West Australia Police said their investigation was still ongoing and urged anyone with information that may be relevant to call Crimestoppers on 1800 333 000 or visit www.crimestopperswa.com.au.
