Lawrence has previously opened up about being a mum, explaining she often feels ‘guilty’.

“I made the movie right before I got married and then we had the pandemic,” Lawrence told Viola Davis during a Variety ‘Actors on Actors’ interview.

“Two years later, I’m pregnant, we go back, and we make the rest of it.

“Every day of being a mom, I feel awful. I feel guilty.

“I’m playing with him and I’m like, ‘Is this what he wants to be doing? Should we be outside? We’re outside. What if he’s cold? What if he’s going to get sick? Should we be inside? Is this enough? Is this developing your brain enough?’”

Lawrence also sat down with Kylie Jenner in 2023 where she spoke about her feelings on security since becoming a parent.

“I didn’t have that much security before I had a kid but, once I had one, with my intrusive thoughts and anxiety, I wanted us to have security around all the time,” she said.

“… We’ve incorporated them more in our lives, which surprised me. That wasn’t how I planned it.”

Lawrence also gushed about her husband and his parenting skills, calling Maroney the ‘greatest father in the world’.

“Fortunately, my husband is the greatest father in the entire world,” she told People magazine.

“So when I’m working, I don’t have any more guilt than the usual every day, all-day parent guilt.

“There’s no squeezing when you have a baby.

“It definitely helps weed out projects: ‘Yes. No. Yes. No. Yes. No. Is this worth being away from my child for half the day?’”

Lawrence also spoke about having a child ‘that’s being born into a lifestyle that’s different from his friends’.

“But kids have advantages and disadvantages when they’re born, all of them. The best thing I can do is just make sure he knows he’s loved, and that he’s our number one priority, and try to be a good example of kindness,” she said.

“I’m sure there will be challenges specifically from my choices and my lifestyle, and we’ll both have to confront that and deal with it when that day comes.”
