The comic actress and singer died at her home in Los Angeles according to reports.
The actress was known to be an inspiration to some of the women in Hollywood today for her roles and attitude to her work.
The death of the actress was confirmed by her manager on October 29 according to ABC7 report. She died at her home in Los Angeles after a long battle with multiple scleroris.
The actress made a name for herself in the 70s and 80s, starring in both TV and films, most notably Mel Brook’s Young Frankenstein and Sydney’s Pollack’s Tootsie.
On social media, tributes for the actress have begun to pour in.
