Serena Williams slams Paris restaurant for ‘denying access’ to her and her family

The tennis star took to Twitter to share her experience

Serena Williams has clapped back at a luxury hotel in Paris for allegedly denying entry to her and her children.

The tennis legend has been in the French capital since late July, participating at the Olympics‘ opening ceremony as a torch bearer and taking in all the games with her family.

On Monday evening, Williams took to Twitter to recount an anecdote that seemingly happened at the Peninsula hotel in Paris.

“Yikes @peninsulaparis I’ve been denied access to rooftop to eat in a empty restaurant of nicer places…but never with my kids,” the tennis star wrote. “Always a first,” she added with a photo of the hotel’s sign attached.

Fans swiftly came to Williams’ defense online.
