Footage shared on Twitter shows Carpenter, 25, screaming and covering her mouth as she clambered down a platform while the pyrotechnics lit up around her.
She appeared frightened and ran to another section of the stage as dancers continued to perform around her, with some reports suggesting she may have been ‘hit in the chest’ by the firework.
However, Carpenter is said to have come away from the incident without injury and chose to ignore the incident when she later posted about her performance on social media.
