Breakdancing judge explains why Raygun scored zero at Olympic Games

Olympics breaker Raygun has been the subject of internet trolls following her zero score

A breakdancing judge has explained why viral breaker Raygun scored a zero at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

Breakdancing was added to the Olympics roster for the games in Paris, and it certainly made an interesting debut.

One dancer, known as Raygun, went viral after a ‘hilariously ridiculous’ performance at the Olympics.

The judges mark any Olympian’s performance based on six criteria points: creativity, personality, technique, variety, performativity and musicality.

Well, Raygun, real name Rachael Gunn, failed to score a single point in any of the three bouts she took part in.

Gunn has since become the target of social media trolls following her performance in Paris.

Breakdancing judge MGbility has expressed her sympathies for Gunn while also explaining why she achieved a zero score.

The judge told News Corp: “I feel personally very sorry. The breaking and hip hop community definitely stands behind her. She was just trying to bring something new, something original and something that represents her country.

“We stay with her. Just her level was maybe not as high as the other competitors.

“Again, we’re using a comparative judging system. Her competitors were just better but it doesn’t mean that she did really bad. She did her best.”
